This website is provided for general information about Family Archive Rescue's services and service area. Content on this site is informational and does not constitute a guarantee, quote, or contract by itself.
Estimates are not binding quotes
Any pricing shown on this site — including the free initial estimate — is preliminary guidance, not a final or binding quote. Final scope and pricing for a project are confirmed with you in writing after inventory, before work begins.
No guaranteed recovery or outcome
We do not guarantee that any specific file, device, or piece of media can be read, recovered, or preserved. Some media degrades or fails in ways that cannot be predicted in advance.
Damaged media and specialist referrals
Physically damaged devices may be referred to a third-party specialist data-recovery service. We are not responsible for the outcome, pricing, or handling practices of a third-party specialist once a referral is made and you choose to proceed with them.
Ownership of your files
You retain ownership of your original files and devices at all times. We do not claim any ownership interest in customer files or the archives we prepare from them.
Retained backup is a separate service
Optional retained backup, if you choose it, is governed by its own separate agreement and pricing, and is not included by default in an archive project.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Family Archive Rescue's liability for any project is limited to the amount paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from loss of data that predates our involvement, device failure outside our control, or third-party specialist referrals.
Governing law
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, pending attorney review.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page as the business and its services develop. The terms that apply to your project are the ones confirmed with you in writing at the time you engage our services.
